INTERDISCIPLINARY WORKSHOP IN COLLABORATION WITH HOME SCIENCE DEPARTMENT

Post Graduate Department of Mathematics organized two days interdisciplinary workshop in collaboration with the Home Science Department from 28th September to 29th September, 2018. Students of Post Graduate Department of Mathematics ( M.Sc. - II ) participated in the workshop. With growing concern for health and nutrition and the changing lifestyle of the present generation, Home Science promises to turn out professionals to cater the requirement. It is a scientific course of study which moulds a student with a variety of life skills. This is a unique discipline with a blend of science and art. It moulds a person into responsible person who can handle the day to day challenges.

The Post Graduate Department of Mathematics organised a lecture based on the topic "Health and Nutrition"  held on 26th September, 2018 in Mathematics Seminar Hall, Ramanujan Block,Department of Mathematics.

Happy Teacher's Day

It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge. The Department of Mathematics celebrated Teacher’s Day with zeal and zest on September 5, 2018. There was an unusual excitement in the atmosphere which was quite contagious. The students of undergraduate and postgraduate classes took over the duties of the teachers for the day. They indicated that, teachers play a vital role in making their pupil accountable citizens of tomorrow and wonderful human beings. A special session was held in which the students paid homage to their teachers through poems and speeches. There was a special celebration for teachers which included games with many prizes followed by a grand lunch. The Principal, Dr. Mrs. Madhu Prashar appreciated the sincerest efforts of the teachers in playing a catalytic role in the holistic development of every student.

VISIT TO BLIND HOME

The Teachers of  Ramanujan department of Mathematics along with students of Post Graduate classes visited Blind Home on 1st September, 2018.  DSCW always remain in forefront to improve the lives of people affected by vision loss. We provide resources and support directly to blind and visually impaired people. The students of department donated some eatables and commodities of their basic needs to the blinds. Blinds see the world as dark but see their hopes, future and aspirations as bright. The interaction helped students to know more about their life style. We always donate generously for such noble cause.
