BUDDY'S GROUP ACTIVITY ON " STOP DRUGS "
“An over-indulgence of
anything ,even something as pure as water, can intoxicate” - Criss Jami
The
Post Graduate Department of Mathematics organized a lecture on the topic “Stop
Drugs” on October 17, 2018. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Sandeep Kaur and
the senior buddy Arshjot Kaur .They concluded the lecture by saying that drug
abuse is a common problem these days. Drugs are not good for health as they
have many side effects and damage our brain, heart and other important organs.
Drugs are consumed in different ways, by inhaling, taking by mouth, injecting,
applying on skin and smoking. When a person is addicted to a drug, the drug
becomes so important that the person cannot manage without it. Drug addiction
is a complex but treatable disease. An effective way to get rid of drugs is to
have good companions, involvement in games and social activities and their consumption can be controlled by proper medication and guidance.

SEMINAR ON DENTAL AWARENESS
“A genuine smile comes from the heart, but a healthy
smile needs good dental care” - Wayne Chirisa
The
Post Graduate Department of Mathematics organized a seminar on “Dental Awareness”
on 4th October, 2018. The lecture was delivered by Dr.Vivek Gupta. He continued his lecture by saying that taking good care
of your mouth, teeth and gums is a worthy goal in and of itself. Good oral and dental
hygiene can help prevent bad breath, tooth decay and gum disease—and can help
you keep your teeth as you get older. Your dental health professional can help
you decide how to address the problems. Braces, once for adolescents only, can
help people of all ages’ correct problems with their teeth and jaws. Orthodontic procedures not only improve your appearance, but they can also improve
chewing and proper digestion of food and speech problems.
