VISIT TO BLIND HOME

“We are only as blind as we want to be”.

The Teachers of  Ramanujan department of Mathematics along with students of Post Graduate classes visited Blind Home on 8th February, 2017.  DSCW always remain in forefront to improve the lives of people affected by vision loss. We provide resources and support directly to blind and visually impaired people. The students of department donated some eatables and commodities of their basic needs to the blinds. Blinds see the world as dark but see their hopes, future and aspirations as bright. The interaction helped students to know more about their life style. We always donate generously for such noble cause.

VOTER'S AWARENESS DAY CELEBRATION

“Those who cast the votes decide nothing, those who count the votes decide everything.”                                 ---Josef Stalin

In order to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process, Government of India has decided to celebrate January 25 every year as "National Voters' Day" (राष्ट्रीय मतदाता दिवस). It started from January 25, 2011 to mark Commission's foundation day. It has been commonly observed that new voters, who have attained the age of 18 years, were showing less interest in getting enrolled in the electoral rolls. "In order to effectively deal with this problem, the Department of Mathematics has decided to take up a vigorous exercise to arrange an awareness seminar on 2nd Feb, 2017 for all the young voters.
